What is TPR

Thermoplastic rubber (TPR) is a versatile material that combines the properties of rubber and thermoplastics. With its elasticity and rubber-like material, TPR effectively disperses impact energy away from the bone, reducing the force of the impact. It's a copolymer that's typically made from a blend of 23% polystyrene (PS) and 77% butadiene (synthetic) rubber. It can be colored and is available in many formulations, and is a versatile material with many applications, including: footwear products, gaskets, cable jacketing, toys, automotive applications, soft touch over-molding, and general purpose molded goods.
